Kandhar taluka · Nanded district
A south-western taluka built around a fort dating to the 9th and 10th centuries.
Kandhar lies south-west of Nanded city, covering 807 square kilometres with a Census 2011 population of 248,870 - the fourth most populous taluka in the district. Its density of 308 per square kilometre sits just below the district average.
One location only: opposite Citizen Gym, Deglour Naka, Nanded 431604. Customers from Kandhar travel to that centre. There is no outcall or home-visit service.
Kandhar sits in the district's south-west, bordering Loha to the north and Mukhed to the east, and reaching towards the Latur district boundary. The Manjra river system influences this part of the district on its way towards the Godavari.
It is the fifth largest taluka by area and fourth by population, which makes Kandhar town a substantial local centre in its own right rather than simply an administrative headquarters.
Population, area and density: Census of India 2011. All 16 talukas, with sources.
Kandhar connects to Nanded city by road through the district's south-west, by way of the Loha corridor. Use the Get Directions link on this page for live routing from your starting point.
We deliberately do not publish fixed kilometre figures between towns. Road distance changes with the route taken, and public sources disagree widely. Every page below gives the direction and the actual road or rail corridor instead, plus a live directions link that reflects current conditions.
Kandhar is a well populated taluka with a long history and most everyday services locally, but Nanded remains where people go for specialist ones. A trip into the city usually covers several things at once.
Our centre is at Deglour Naka, opposite Citizen Gym. Message us on WhatsApp before you travel and we will confirm a slot.
