Mahur taluka · Nanded district
A hill taluka in the north, home to the Renuka Devi temple and Mahur fort.
Mahur - also written Mahoor, and known as Mahurgad - is a northern taluka covering 519 square kilometres, with a Census 2011 population of 99,940 and a density of 192 per square kilometre, among the lowest in the district.
One location only: opposite Citizen Gym, Deglour Naka, Nanded 431604. Customers from Mahur travel to that centre. There is no outcall or home-visit service.
Mahur lies in the district's hilly northern belt, bordering Kinwat, Himayatnagar and Hadgaon and reaching towards the Yavatmal district boundary. The terrain here is noticeably more elevated and varied than the open plains around Nanded city.
Its low population density reflects both the hill terrain and the largely rural character of the taluka - Mahur's significance is religious and historical rather than demographic.

National Highway 161A begins its route at Mahur and runs south-east through Kinwat, Himayatnagar and Mudkhed towards Waghala and Mukhed, which gives Mahur a highway corridor towards the Nanded Waghala area.
Because this is one of the longer journeys in the district and public distance figures for the northern talukas vary considerably by route, use the Get Directions link on this page for live routing.
We deliberately do not publish fixed kilometre figures between towns. Road distance changes with the route taken, and public sources disagree widely. Every page below gives the direction and the actual road or rail corridor instead, plus a live directions link that reflects current conditions.
Mahur draws visitors from across Maharashtra and beyond as a pilgrimage destination, and many of those journeys pass through or stop in Nanded. If a Mahur trip brings you into the city, an appointment is straightforward to add.
For residents, Nanded is the practical destination for specialist services. Either way, message us on WhatsApp before travelling and we will confirm a slot at our Deglour Naka centre.
